How does RLT help?
At a cellular level, red/NIR light is able to elicit a response that causes fat cells to release stored fat into the bloodstream. Once in the circulatory system, the fat can then be burned off as energy. Conveniently, this is able to be accomplished without compromising blood serum lipid profiles. Fat loss with BioLight is significantly amplified when combined with a regular exercise regimen.
How does this improve my health & wellness?
Whether it is a byproduct of your weight loss goals or you just want to look good at the beach, fat loss is on everybody's to-do list. But fat loss can be one of the toughest goals to accomplish.
Stubborn fat is difficult to lose for several reasons:
Stubborn fat has poor blood circulation
This makes it difficult for the fat cells to dump their fats into the bloodstream for energy.
Fat stores become hyper-sensitive to insulin
Once muscle cells become desensitized to insulin, the body shuttles the calories you eat to your fat cells, where there is unlimited storage.
Receptors in fat cells cause them to become resistant to releasing fat
Stubborn fat has a higher density of alpha-2 receptors (inhibits fat burning and blood flow to fat tissue)) compared to beta receptors (facilitate fat burning and blood flow to fat tissues).
Enter red/NIR light therapy -- numerous studies demonstrate that RLT positively affects both blood circulation and stimulating the release of fatty acids from fat tissue. This means that fat will actually come off your body!
What does the research show?
"A group of 20 women riding stationary bicycles three times per week for four weeks while being exposed to near-infrared (NIR) lost an average of 444% more fat as compared to 20 women doing the same exercise without NIR.”

"Research has shown that LLLT is effective in reducing overall body circumference measurements of specifically treated regions, including the hips, waist, thighs, and upper arms, with recent studies demonstrating the long-term effectiveness of results. The treatment is painless, and there appears to be no adverse events associated with LLLT."

"Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) achieved safe and significant girth loss sustained with cumulative treatments of eight treatments over a four-week period. The girth loss from the waist gave clinically and statistically significant cosmetic improvement."

**While the current scientific research seems to indicate many positive benefits of RLT in relation to fat loss, there is still an appreciable necessity for more extensive research to be conducted in this area, including double-blind RCT (randomized controlled trials), to provide a more comprehensive, robust overview that will further elucidate the optimal parameters and appropriate uses of RLT, which will ultimately lead the most safe and efficacious uses for individuals attempting to lose fat.
Suggested use of RLT
for fat loss
3 - 7x/week
2 - 5 min @ 6" away
Red and NIR
Use RLT while performing exercises (ie, stationary bike, squats, etc.) to augment fat loss response
Use RLT while in a fasted state
Use in conjunction with exercises for BEST RESULTS
Perform a set of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) after your RLT session to amplify fat loss
*For optimal results, we recommend no more than 15 - 20 minutes of total treatment time per day
