Energy Code: BioLight’s 2025 in Review — New Brand, Smarter Stacks, and a Mitochondria-First Future
In this episode of The Energy Code, Dr. Mike Belkowski welcomes Don Bailey back to unpack BioLight’s busiest year yet. The team rolled out a full brand and website refresh designed around protocols that make mitochondrial health simple to follow. They upgraded the methylene blue formulas with taurine and higher NMN, introduced BioWithin to pair urolithin A with urolithin B for cleanup and rebuild, and released BioMinerals to support gut integrity, redox, and daily remineralization.
Water quality took center stage with Light Water, a deuterium-depleted partner that now powers select ingestibles and topicals. On the skincare side, Blue Mist arrived as a light-powered, methylene-blue-infused serum that stacks with red light therapy, alongside BioMinerals Mists for daily hydration and barrier support. Rounding it out, BioLight launched BioMico, an all-natural mushroom line starting with Immune Complex for winter resilience.
It is a clear direction: practical stacks, rigorous sourcing, and community-driven iteration. Mike and Don also hint at a 2026 initiative that builds on these foundations. If you care about energy, longevity, and results you can feel, this recap is your roadmap.
00:00:00:02 - 00:00:33:23
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
All right, everybody, welcome back to another episode of The Energy Code. Back on the call is none other than Mr. Don Bailey, who's been on sabbatical the past month. A month and a half, as he's been helping me revamp the website, which we can get to in a moment here. But really just wanted to bring Don on to hash out and just have a conversation about kind of like a year in review, more or less of what BioLight has been up to and kind of why we've seen this onslaught of new products that we've been releasing.
00:00:34:00 - 00:00:38:12
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
And maybe speaking about our vision going forward into 2026 as well.
00:00:38:14 - 00:00:40:20
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
But, Don, welcome back to the show, man. Just,
00:00:40:20 - 00:00:46:19
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
what have you been up to? What are you looking forward to in the coming year?
00:00:46:21 - 00:00:53:16
Don Bailey:
Doctor Mike, thanks for having me. This year's been great so far. In the past, I want to say five weeks straight,
00:00:53:16 - 00:00:55:22
Don Bailey:
we've just been nonstop,
00:00:55:24 - 00:00:59:22
Don Bailey:
ever since getting the new branding, which I'm sure people have seen,
00:00:59:24 - 00:01:03:19
Don Bailey:
implemented the new vision for the website, getting ready to,
00:01:03:21 - 00:01:12:23
Don Bailey:
approach the BioLight ethic more so from a protocols perspective. So like skin care, gut care,
00:01:13:00 - 00:01:14:02
Don Bailey:
etc. so,
00:01:14:04 - 00:01:19:02
Don Bailey:
I'm really excited about that. Basically, I've been working to answer your question.
00:01:19:04 - 00:01:31:08
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
You've been working. Yeah. So I'm sure everyone has noticed or most people have noticed that we completely revamped the whole website. We have the new branding, a new,
00:01:31:10 - 00:01:42:01
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
look and feel for BioLight as a company. And maybe I'll just throw this your way. Don, if someone was to ask you when they see the new icon, like, what is that?
00:01:42:01 - 00:01:47:01
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
What is this supposed to resemble? What does it mean? Like those those three dots with lines, like what is that? How would you explain it?
00:01:47:06 - 00:01:48:10
Don Bailey:
So starts with
00:01:48:10 - 00:02:01:09
Don Bailey:
the statement that energy is neither created nor destroyed. And I love how we're mitochondrial mitochondria and focused company. And with that,
00:02:01:11 - 00:02:02:17
Don Bailey:
we kind of wanted a
00:02:02:20 - 00:02:04:17
Don Bailey:
icon that didn't just say
00:02:04:21 - 00:02:06:14
Don Bailey:
energy in your BioLight.
00:02:06:15 - 00:02:20:21
Don Bailey:
We wanted something that represent motion and energy and exchange so you could take it a bunch of different ways. I have a lot of concepts that are going to come out, and some are going to include like the process of mitophagy, you know, just stemming from the logo. So,
00:02:20:23 - 00:02:24:12
Don Bailey:
yeah, it just represents movement and energy, pretty much what the brand represents.
00:02:24:16 - 00:02:30:23
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
Dynamic fluid movement to your point, energy and transition.
00:02:31:00 - 00:02:41:15
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
And it's really demonstrated I mean Don, you did a good job with this of people, especially if you check out the mobile and you're just scrolling around, you'll see that icon on the top kind of just moving around in a 3D,
00:02:41:17 - 00:02:46:11
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
graphic manner. And that's really what exemplifies what the logo was meant to be.
00:02:46:11 - 00:02:49:08
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
Is this thing that's just in motion and moving.
00:02:49:10 - 00:02:51:01
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
But well said on your part, Don. So
00:02:51:04 - 00:02:57:09
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
where do you want to begin? I want you to take it over from here. You're kind of playing host or MC, if you will. So let's just,
00:02:57:11 - 00:02:59:17
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
you know, playing quarterback, like. So, Dr. Sanders,
00:02:59:19 - 00:03:01:07
Don Bailey (joking):
sorry, I had to get that in.
00:03:01:09 - 00:03:03:06
Don Bailey:
So I really want to.
00:03:03:10 - 00:03:09:14
Don Bailey:
Not necessarily start at the top of a year, not necessarily go chronologically through what BioLight's been up to. But
00:03:09:16 - 00:03:12:18
Don Bailey:
to give the listeners a perspective of the brand,
00:03:12:20 - 00:03:14:10
Don Bailey:
in terms of
00:03:14:13 - 00:03:19:07
Don Bailey:
why we're releasing the products and what it means for BioLight’s future.
00:03:19:09 - 00:03:26:14
Don Bailey:
So more specifically by that, I'd love to go through kind of review some of the things that happened this year.
00:03:26:15 - 00:03:31:16
Don Bailey:
Give the anecdotal story as to why our product came to fruition. Talk about the product.
00:03:31:18 - 00:03:41:04
Don Bailey:
And then we'll just have a fluid conversation, if that's fine with you. Let's see where it takes us. Let's do it. Perfect. So,
00:03:41:06 - 00:03:42:10
Don Bailey:
at the beginning of the year
00:03:42:14 - 00:03:46:22
Don Bailey:
of this year, 2024, 2025. Geez, we're in 2025.
00:03:46:24 - 00:03:49:11
Don Bailey:
I want to skip ahead a little bit and,
00:03:49:11 - 00:03:52:24
Don Bailey:
kind of talk about the experience specifically,
00:03:52:24 - 00:03:55:08
Don Bailey:
one conference that we went to that kind of,
00:03:55:10 - 00:03:56:12
Don Bailey:
changed my perspective.
00:03:56:12 - 00:03:58:22
Don Bailey:
We, we went to three this year.
00:03:58:24 - 00:04:00:16
Don Bailey:
So we went to Dave
00:04:00:16 - 00:04:01:01
Don Bailey:
Asprey’s—
00:04:01:06 - 00:04:07:00
Don Bailey:
after we went to the Health Optimization Summit, and then we went to the,
00:04:07:02 - 00:04:14:23
Don Bailey:
Quantum Return to Nature retreat. Yeah. The first two were in Austin, Texas. The last one was just south of Nashville in,
00:04:14:23 - 00:04:17:05
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
Franklin, Franklin, Tennessee. There you go.
00:04:17:07 - 00:04:19:22
Don Bailey:
One of the experiences there,
00:04:19:22 - 00:04:23:20
Don Bailey:
that I had specifically was with hydrogen. I don't know if you remember that.
00:04:23:22 - 00:04:27:00
Don Bailey:
So I was, I was,
00:04:27:00 - 00:04:29:02
Don Bailey:
sitting down, I’d seen the
00:04:29:02 - 00:04:38:08
Don Bailey:
hydrogen at these events. Hydrogen water everywhere. Like before we even went to the first event in Austin, Mike was just like, here, have one of these hydrogen tablets.
00:04:38:08 - 00:04:40:17
Don Bailey:
And I was like, oh, heck yeah.
00:04:40:19 - 00:04:43:03
Don Bailey:
But I used this device. And I was,
00:04:43:05 - 00:04:48:01
Don Bailey:
after I used it, I was like, why do I have so much energy right now? This is this is great.
00:04:48:03 - 00:04:51:12
Don Bailey:
That was my eureka moment, so to speak, in terms of
00:04:51:15 - 00:04:53:03
Don Bailey:
why
00:04:53:05 - 00:04:55:21
Don Bailey:
the focus on the mitochondria is so important.
00:04:55:23 - 00:05:08:09
Don Bailey:
Oftentimes—well, for me specifically—I had a lot more… my memory of my childhood, I had a lot more energy as a kid. I'm always running around and always doing stuff. And as an adult, I start slowing down, like I need to get that energy back.
00:05:08:09 - 00:05:13:19
Don Bailey:
I need to get that energy back. First time I actually felt that energy return is with methylene blue. And so,
00:05:13:21 - 00:05:15:11
Don Bailey:
I started asking more questions
00:05:15:11 - 00:05:19:12
Don Bailey:
about methylene blue and where else we could go with this?
00:05:19:14 - 00:05:23:23
Don Bailey:
Prior to going to the Health Optimization Summit,
00:05:24:00 - 00:05:25:22
Don Bailey:
we had released BioListen.
00:05:25:24 - 00:05:27:19
Don Bailey:
If we could start there, if that's okay with you, Mike.
00:05:27:24 - 00:05:38:00
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
I honestly don't remember, Don, if BioLithium came before or after that, but I do remember—maybe this will help stimulate your memory—we were literally doing a
00:05:38:04 - 00:05:48:10
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
the actual launch of the Fountain of Youth.
00:05:48:10 - 00:05:56:20
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
That's right, that's right. Health Optimization Summit. And I think subsequent to that we released like a full fledged urolithin A-plus,
00:05:48:10 - 00:05:56:20
Dr. Mike Belkowski (cont.):
your lithium B… BioListen. That’s right. Urolithin A is in the Fountain of Youth. Yep. So starting there,
00:05:56:22 - 00:06:04:05
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
and then kind of merging into BioLithin. Because what I'm really excited about in this conversation is the introduction of Urolithin B.
00:06:04:07 - 00:06:05:19
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
So if we kind of start there,
00:06:05:21 - 00:06:11:07
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
like The Fountain of Youth was supposed to be an all-encompassing sort of Cadillac of
00:06:11:09 - 00:06:13:09
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
mitochondrial supplements,
00:06:13:11 - 00:06:15:02
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
and it has a ton of great
00:06:15:02 - 00:06:16:07
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
ingredients.
00:06:16:09 - 00:06:19:16
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
So we included some mushrooms.
00:06:19:18 - 00:06:20:19
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
Urolithins in it.
00:06:21:00 - 00:06:33:23
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
One of them has Luco methylene blue for the… for u-Luco. And then regular methylene blue, right. And then PQQ for mitochondrial biogenesis. Right. So let's—and shilajit.
00:06:34:02 - 00:06:42:10
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
So let’s go there. Yeah. So the point of the Fountain of Youth was to, your point, create this Cadillac of mitochondrial support
00:06:42:12 - 00:07:04:02
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
to visualize it or think about it, it was to cover what I'm calling the six pillars of mitochondrial health and function. And all of the ingredients in the Fountain of Youth cover each six of those pillars, like to the A+ degree, if you will. And if people notice, the new
00:07:04:07 - 00:07:07:01
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
website, on the product pages, you'll see this,
00:07:07:03 - 00:07:09:16
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
kind of like a barometer if you will.
00:07:09:18 - 00:07:23:13
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
There's one specifically for supplements, and there's one specifically for skincare products. And we'll make more as necessary with new products. But for example, for the supplements, there's six
00:07:23:15 - 00:07:31:18
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
attributes. And this is kind of along the same line as the Fountain of Youth. This is where this kind of came from. So the first attribute or the first pillar is energy.
00:07:31:19 - 00:07:39:11
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
Meaning how much does this ingredient or how much does this supplement impact energy? And for people who
00:07:39:11 - 00:07:43:18
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
haven't seen this, you have to visualize it. The barometer looks like
00:07:43:20 - 00:07:56:16
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
a circle with a percentage inside of the circle. And then that circle is filled the percentage of what it is. So for example, for the Fountain of Youth it gets a 95% for energy.
00:07:56:16 - 00:07:59:06
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
So that circle is filled 95% from
00:07:59:08 - 00:08:15:01
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
12:00 to like 11:50 p.m., if you will. And that's how it looks for each attribute. So you have like this dashboard of these attributes. And you can see for a given supplement (and then again for a given skincare product—the skincare product
00:08:15:01 - 00:08:20:02
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
of course has different attributes) what that specific supplement does.
00:08:20:04 - 00:08:22:13
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
So you can really kind of hone in at a quick glance.
00:08:22:13 - 00:08:33:09
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
This is what this supplement’s for. Oh, okay. I want to use this one for mitophagy. I'd want to use this one for red light therapy. I'd want to use this one for all-encompassing mitochondrial support. So you kind of get a quick,
00:08:33:11 - 00:08:35:23
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
preview or synopsis just on a quick look.
00:08:35:23 - 00:08:36:21
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
So for example,
00:08:36:21 - 00:08:38:01
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
the Fountain of Youth
00:08:38:03 - 00:08:57:13
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
—just regular methylene blue, not Luco—has a 95% for energy. That's the first pillar. Mito-genesis or mitochondrial biogenesis, since it has PQQ, 95% as well. For mitophagy, which is recycling of old and dysfunctional mitochondria (that's what
00:08:57:19 - 00:09:06:23
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
urolithin’s most notorious for) Fountain of Youth gets a 95% because it has a full dosage of urolithin for mitochondrial dynamics,
00:09:06:23 - 00:09:10:05
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
that's that beautiful dance of mitochondrial fusion and fission—
00:09:10:07 - 00:09:25:06
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
Fountain of Youth gets a 90%. For redox potential (that’s another way of saying how powerful of an antioxidant is this supplement or ingredient): because it has the shilajit, it has the methylene blue, one has—
00:09:25:08 - 00:09:30:00
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
even urolithin is an antioxidant because it is donating electrons—
00:09:30:02 - 00:09:58:17
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
it gets 100%. So from an antioxidant or from a redox potential perspective, 100%. And the last pillar or attribute is what I've dubbed photodynamic—to make it succinct—meaning how much does this supplement interact positively with light. Since it has methylene blue, 100%. So if you were to compare this exact supplement, but the Luco version, you would see some slight alterations.
00:09:58:23 - 00:10:02:21
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
I think the energy would actually be up to 100% because you got Luco—more
00:10:02:23 - 00:10:18:07
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
Luco is more bioavailable, so a little more burst of energy. But you would see the photodynamic attribute go down to like 50% or something like that. Because since Luco methylene blue is more of a teal green, it's not going to have that same effect as a dark blue pigment like methylene blue.
00:10:18:09 - 00:10:21:21
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
So anyway, that's just one example. But to bring this back,
00:10:21:21 - 00:10:24:13
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
on track on—yes,
00:10:24:15 - 00:10:30:06
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
Health Optimization Summit, we were releasing this exact product, which was kind of like the
00:10:30:08 - 00:10:36:11
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
—not necessarily the domino effect; the domino effect really came more in the fall—but this was kind of the first thing we were releasing
00:10:36:15 - 00:10:38:21
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
from BioLight in 2025.
00:10:38:23 - 00:10:45:02
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
And it was our introduction into urolithin A, which, again, kind of the best
00:10:45:08 - 00:10:46:08
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
way to
00:10:46:08 - 00:11:04:05
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
initiate mitophagy in your body, which is very much an unsung or an underappreciated aspect of mitochondrial health and function, because if you do everything else but you allow those dysfunctional mitochondria to linger and linger and propagate and propagate and cause more inflammation and cause
00:11:04:07 - 00:11:06:20
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
—and produce more dysfunctional mitochondria, then—
00:11:06:22 - 00:11:13:06
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
it'll be like two steps forward, one and a half steps back until you really hone in on the mitophagy.
00:11:13:06 - 00:11:31:01
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
And there's other ways to stimulate mitophagy, whether it's through diet or exercise. But from a supplemental perspective, urolithin A is the king there. Right. And I just want to explain that a little bit more. So we're doing all this stuff to improve the function of our mitochondria. And most of the times you need,
00:11:31:01 - 00:11:34:08
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
that improvement when dysfunction exists.
00:11:34:10 - 00:11:37:14
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
But when you're improving mitochondria,
00:11:37:17 - 00:11:53:13
Dr. Mike Belkowski:
you're not necessarily improving all of the dysfunctional mitochondria. Correct. What do you mean by that? Like the reason why mitophagy is important is because you need to get rid of bad mitochondria, right. Because you can stimulate—
00:11:53:15 – 00:12:07:02 — Dr. Mike
…oftentimes, well, for me specifically, I had a lot more—my memory of my childhood—I had a lot more energy as a kid. I’m always running around and always doing stuff. And as an adult, I start slowing down, like I need to get that energy back.
00:12:07:02 – 00:12:15:11 — Dr. Mike

00:12:15:11 – 00:12:23:23 — Dr. Mike

00:12:24:00 – 00:12:27:19 — Dr. Mike
Prior to going to the Health Optimization Summit…
00:12:27:24 – 00:12:38:00 — Dr. Mike
We had released Bio Listen.
00:12:38:04 – 00:12:48:10 — Don
I honestly don’t remember, Don, if Bio Lithium came before or after that, but I do remember—maybe this will help stimulate your memory—we were literally doing…
00:12:48:10 – 00:12:56:20 — Don

—that’s right, that’s right—Health Optimization Summit. And I think subsequent to that we released like a full-fledged EuroLithin A-plus.
00:13:05:21 – 00:13:11:07 — Dr. Mike
So if we kind of start there…
00:13:11:09 – 00:13:20:20 — Dr. Mike
…the Fountain of Youth was supposed to be an all-encompassing sort of Cadillac of mitochondrial supplements…
00:13:20:24 – 00:13:31:18 — Dr. Mike
…and it has a ton of great ingredients.
00:13:31:19 – 00:13:39:11 — Dr. Mike
So we included some mushrooms…

…urolithins in it—one of them has Luco methylene blue for the Bio Luca—and then regular methylene blue, right; and then PQQ for mitochondrial biogenesis, right. So let’s—and shilajit.
00:13:56:22 – 00:14:18:23 — Dr. Mike
So, the whole point of the Fountain of Youth was, to your point, create this Cadillac of mitochondrial support.
00:14:19:00 – 00:14:33:09 — Dr. Mike

00:15:15:01 – 00:15:43:20 — Dr. Mike
…meaning: how much does this ingredient or how much does this supplement impact energy? And for people who haven’t seen this—you have to visualize it—the barometer looks like a circle with a percentage inside of the circle. And then that circle is filled the percentage of what it is. So for example, for the Fountain of Youth it gets a 95% for energy.
00:15:43:22 – 00:16:05:16 — Dr. Mike
So that circle is filled 95% from 12:00 to like 11:50 p.m., if you will. And that’s how it looks for each attribute. So you have like this dashboard of these attributes…
00:16:05:21 – 00:16:24:13 — Dr. Mike
…so you can see for a given supplement—and then again for a given skincare product; and the skincare product of course has different attributes—what that specific supplement does.
00:16:24:15 – 00:16:38:01 — Dr. Mike
So you can really kind of hone in on, at a quick glance: this is what this supplement is for. Oh okay, I want to use this one for mitophagy, I’d want to use this one for red light therapy, I’d want to use this one for all-encompassing mitochondrial support. So you kind of get a quick preview or synopsis just on a quick look.
00:16:38:03 – 00:16:57:13 — Dr. Mike
So for example, the Fountain of Youth—just regular methylene blue, not Luco—has a 95% for energy. That’s the first pillar. Mito-genesis or mitochondrial biogenesis—since it has PQQ—95% as well. For mitophagy, which is the recycling of old and dysfunctional mitochondria—that’s what…
00:16:57:19 – 00:17:06:23 — Dr. Mike
…urolithin is most notorious for—Fountain of Youth gets a 95% because it has a full dosage of urolithin A.
00:17:06:23 – 00:17:25:06 — Dr. Mike
For mitochondrial dynamics—that’s that beautiful dance of mitochondrial fusion and fission—Fountain of Youth gets a 90%. For redox potential—that’s another way of saying how powerful of an antioxidant is this supplement or ingredient—because it has the shilajit, it has the methylene blue…
00:17:25:08 – 00:17:30:00 — Dr. Mike
…even urolithin is an antioxidant because it is donating electrons.
00:17:30:02 – 00:17:58:17 — Dr. Mike
It gets 100%. So from an antioxidant or from a redox potential perspective, 100%. And the last pillar or attribute is what I’ve dubbed or called photodynamic, to make it succinct—meaning how much does this supplement interact positively with light. Since it has methylene blue: 100%. So if you were to compare this exact supplement but the Luco version, you would see some slight alterations…
00:17:58:23 – 00:18:18:07 — Dr. Mike
…I think the energy would actually be up to 100% because you’ve got Luco—more bioavailable—so a little more burst of energy, but you would see the photodynamic attribute go down to like 50% or something like that. Because since Luco methylene blue is more of a teal-green, it’s not going to have that same effect as a dark blue pigment like methylene blue.
00:18:18:09 – 00:18:21:21 — Dr. Mike
So anyway, that’s just one example. But to bring this back…
00:18:21:21 – 00:18:30:06 — Don
…on track—yeah.
00:18:30:08 – 00:18:38:21 — Dr. Mike
At Health Optimization Summit we were releasing this exact product, which was kind of like the—not necessarily the domino effect; the domino effect really came more in the fall—but this was the first thing we were releasing…
00:18:38:23 – 00:18:45:02 — Dr. Mike
…from BioLight in 2025.
00:18:45:08 – 00:19:06:20 — Dr. Mike
And it was our introduction into urolithin A, which—again—the best way to initiate mitophagy in your body, which is very much an unsung or an underappreciated aspect of mitochondrial health and function. Because if you do everything else but you allow those dysfunctional mitochondria to linger and linger and propagate and propagate and cause more inflammation and cause…
00:19:06:22 – 00:19:13:06 — Dr. Mike
…and produce more dysfunctional mitochondria—then…
00:19:13:06 – 00:19:31:01 — Dr. Mike
…it’ll be like two steps forward, one and a half steps back until you really hone in on the mitophagy.
00:19:31:01 – 00:19:53:13 — Don
And there’s other ways to stimulate mitophagy, whether it’s through diet or exercise. But from a supplemental perspective, urolithin A is the king there, right. And I just want to explain that a little bit more. So we’re doing all this stuff to improve the function of our mitochondria. And most of the times you need that improvement when dysfunction exists.
00:19:53:15 – 00:20:12:07 — Don
But when you’re improving mitochondria, you’re not necessarily improving all of the dysfunctional mitochondria.
00:20:12:11 – 00:20:25:01 — Don
What do you mean by that? Like the reason why mitophagy is important is because you need to get rid of bad mitochondria, right? Because you can stimulate…
00:20:25:03 – 00:20:46:21 — Don
…or, like for example, methylene blue goes in there and helps improve energy where energy would otherwise not be produced because of dysfunctional, you know, at complex I, complex III, what have you.
00:20:46:23 – 00:21:03:16 — Don
So it circumvents those issues to improve energy. But to your point, that doesn’t necessarily fix the lingering or background effect of accumulating dysfunctional mitochondria.
00:21:03:18 – 00:21:22:23 — Don
And mitochondria just keeps recreating itself—is the term biogenesis?
00:21:23:04 – 00:21:37:07 — Dr. Mike
Yeah—mitochondrial biogenesis or mitogenesis, right. And—oh yeah—mitogenesis would be more mitochondrial specific. So just to make this very plain: methylene blue, especially if you’re healthy, could improve your energy…
00:21:37:10 – 00:21:55:05 — Dr. Mike
…help your mitochondria function more efficiently if you’re having those energy deficiency problems, and specifically in the brain—if you’re just feeling brain fog, because more mitochondria is densely located in your brain—it can help you improve that too. But when we start looking at the long-term implications…
00:21:55:05 – 00:22:12:11 — Dr. Mike
Like, I’d take methylene blue forever. I probably will. I absolutely love the supplement, but I’d also want to improve, foundationally, the mitochondria. So if my body’s cleaning out bad mitochondria, and I am supporting the new mitochondria that’s created…
00:22:12:13 – 00:22:31:14 — Dr. Mike
…then I’m overall improving like my… I can relate this to an SEO term—like my link quality or my mitochondria quality. Like you get some bad links, you get some good links, but you want to improve the amount of good links and your percentage of good links that you have by removing the amount of bad links. So for, in English…
00:22:31:17 – 00:22:46:18 — Dr. Mike
…yeah, you’re amplifying essentially your end product of energy.
00:22:46:20 – 00:23:05:16 — Dr. Mike
You’re amplifying—shall we say—vitality or health span. You’re improving the gas and the brake, I suppose, if you will. Maybe that’s not a great analogy, but yeah—you’re getting rid of the bad and you’re improving what’s there.
00:23:05:20 – 00:23:39:23 — Don
All right. And so—and then like—so that story, that anecdote just kind of explains the story of BioLight so far. And then these new products that have come and are also coming: we went from red light therapy to functional red-light-therapy products like the Shine, the Glow, and then the Alum—or the Guardian and the Alum, right—so oral health for red light. And then moving from the red light space—not saying more red light products aren’t coming—but moving from the red light space we went into methylene blue.
00:23:40:16 – 00:23:55:13 — Don
Now with methylene blue… after creating—like—there are a lot of different supplement variations that we can do with methylene blue. But what else is out there that can help improve mitochondrial function? And that’s the biggest question that I think you sought out to answer with conceptualizing these new products. So starting with…
00:23:55:24 – 00:24:03:07 — Don
…Bio Listen—and, you know, we just talked about some of the impacts of it.
00:24:03:09 – 00:24:29:17 — Don
Urolithin A and Urolithin B. I kind of—and then I’ll jump ahead to talk about Bio Blue and Light after this—but Urolithin A and Urolithin B, like, they do vastly different things for your mitochondria than just methylene blue. So in chatting about this, where I want listeners to think about, like: your stack. So, you take this, you take this, you take this as well. And essentially what we’re building here is a BioLight stack…
00:24:29:17 – 00:24:42:22 — Don
…that people can just purchase from BioLight and have an all-encompassing approach to their mitochondrial health. So Urolithin A and Urolithin B—why do you like them, and then why didn’t you take the traditional route and just do Urolithin A like most other people do? Why the inclusion of Urolithin B?
00:24:43:00 – 00:25:06:09 — Dr. Mike
Yeah—and I had a pretty thorough episode on this I think back in the summer. I don’t remember if it was when we released Urolithin A—sorry: Bio Listen. I think for reference we released Bio Listen in August because it was—I think it was almost on my birthday.
00:25:06:11 – 00:25:14:23 — Dr. Mike
So, Bio Listen came out in August. And just for people who are listening—well, if you’re listening you already know, because I announced this, I think through an ad a couple of weeks ago—but there is also now a Bio Listen Light version, the “Light” standing for it’s just Urolithin A, not Urolithin A plus Urolithin B.
00:25:14:23 – 00:25:53:17 — Dr. Mike
So for people that just really want to hone in on the mitophagy aspect of the Urolithin A, there’s an option for that. But if people want the more comprehensive approach—the Urolithin A plus Urolithin B, which I’m about to explain here—then you do want to stick with the “normal” Bio Listen. And I’m not going to go into huge detail here, Don, just because it’s already been thoroughly outlined in other episodes. Right—but we’ll do a brief recap here.
00:25:53:17 – 00:26:18:05 — Dr. Mike
So, Urolithin A is most notorious—again—for its role with mitophagy: removing the ROS-producing, dysfunctional, senescent mitochondria, if you will. Getting rid of the inflammatory-producing and the dysfunctional mitochondria-propagating mitochondria—removing them. And that alone inherently improves your energy, as we just outlined the last couple of minutes.
00:26:18:09 – 00:26:45:08 — Dr. Mike
Urolithin A, to a lesser degree than PQQ—but still pretty strong—supports mitochondrial biogenesis. So that’s again why the Fountain of Youth gets 100%—or 95%—for mitogenesis: it has both Urolithin A and PQQ. But again, Urolithin A alone stimulates mitochondrial biogenesis; it improves muscle endurance, strength, and mitochondrial efficiency, of course, by getting rid of the bad guys and letting the good guys…
00:26:45:08 – 00:27:05:01 — Dr. Mike
…kind of shine through a little more. So in the end, the punchline is: it enhances ATP production, enhances energy production, because you’re getting rid of the ones that would otherwise be holding you back. So, that’s Urolithin A in a nutshell. And again, we can’t overstate how important mitophagy is…
00:27:05:05 – 00:27:32:15 — Dr. Mike
…if you allow the bad guys to fester. And again, this isn’t going to rear its ugly head over the course of weeks or months—maybe years—but it just happens as this low-level accumulation. This is tantamount to the reason—or there might be a direct correlation—between mitophagy or the lack thereof and why we lose 1% of energy production per year; meaning we lose 10% of our full energy production capacity per decade.
00:27:32:17 – 00:27:59:16 — Dr. Mike
If you’re not proactive and strategizing ways to mitigate mitochondrial dysfunction or boost mitochondrial health, that’s kind of a scary thought—because once you get beyond, I forget if it’s the age of 25 or 30ish—but past that, you’re losing 10% of energy production per decade. So over the course of 50 years, your energy capacity is cut in half. And again, I can’t say to what degree, but I can’t help but think the lack of mitophagy plays a critical role in that.
00:27:59:18 – 00:28:19:09 — Dr. Mike
So again, for something like Urolithin A—that’s clearly the top dog from a dietary or supplemental perspective to help you stimulate mitophagy—it seems like a pretty smart thing to have in someone’s mitochondrial toolkit on a pretty consistent basis.
00:28:19:11 – 00:28:31:15 — Dr. Mike
So that’s Urolithin A. Urolithin B—what does that add to the Bio Listen stack? There’s some pretty interesting research that I alluded to with that comprehensive episode, I think back in August, when we released Bio Listen—that Urolithin B has an anabolic, or if you want to look at it as anti-catabolic…
00:28:31:17 – 00:28:55:12 — Dr. Mike
…characteristic, meaning it helps improve muscle protein synthesis. It also—if you want to go anti-catabolic—reduces muscle breakdown. Saying the same thing, just a different way. But Urolithin B shows androgen-receptor-related anabolic activity. So this is particularly important for people who are kind of in their 40s and beyond—certainly second half of life—where being able to retain as much muscle…
00:28:55:12 – 00:29:22:01 — Dr. Mike
…capacity as possible is paramount. Because along with losing muscle, that’s where a lot of your mitochondria reside—skeletal muscle is one of the top mitochondrial-dense tissues in the body. So if you’re losing muscle capacity, of course you’re losing strength, but you’re literally losing number of mitochondria. And those are your ATP engines. So that’s just another way that you’re losing energy—by losing muscle.
00:29:22:03 – 00:29:39:07 — Dr. Mike
So anyway, Urolithin B has an anabolic capacity for muscle protein synthesis. It also, by itself, has its own set of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. And specifically, there was a new piece of research that I alluded to in that same episode, I believe, that showed it had anti-arthritic capacity—meaning it could help prevent or even reverse signs and symptoms of arthritis.
00:29:39:13 – 00:29:59:20 — Dr. Mike
So great for the muscles; great for the joints. That’s something you get with Urolithin B that you’re not getting with just Urolithin A. Not that Urolithin A doesn’t help—it’s the mitophagy king or queen, if you will—but macroscopically: Urolithin A is like the clean-out-and-rebuild molecule of the two; Urolithin B is like the protect-and-grow molecule, if we want to think of it that way.
00:29:59:22 – 00:30:16:10 — Dr. Mike
So, Urolithin A: A+ for mitophagy; B+ to A- for mitogenesis, and then pretty strong with oxidative-stress reduction and improving ATP efficiency. Then when we look at Urolithin B, it’s supporting mitochondrial function indirectly via reducing inflammation and cell damage. Urolithin B doesn’t have any mitophagy induction—so again that’s another differentiator.
00:30:16:12 – 00:30:23:02 — Don
But—don’t just—direct the conversation if you have any questions.
00:30:23:04 – 00:30:31:15 — Don
No, that was great. And one of the things that really stands out is how included in the BioLight stack is no more than methylene blue.
00:30:31:17 – 00:30:54:17 — Don
We’ve introduced—and again, FOY definitely introduced a lot more supplements as well—but like, you can come and buy your Bio Listen, which gives you Urolithin A and Urolithin B, or Bio Listen Light, which gives you Urolithin A plus taurine. Can you talk a bit specifically about taurine and why adding taurine to Urolithin A was important for you?
00:30:54:22 – 00:31:08:18 — Dr. Mike
Well… yeah, so this stems back from the summer of 2024—I mean, it must have been, because that’s when we started to introduce the Bio Blue and Bio Blue Luco capsules, which—it’s methylene blue or Luco methylene blue plus taurine.
00:31:08:21 – 00:31:37:05 — Dr. Mike
And it’s because I read this entire textbook on— and I’ve alluded to it in this podcast, so people know about it—but it was all on taurine and its benefits for how it helps improve mitochondrial function. And that’s why it’s in so many of our supplements—just like there’s a reason that fulvic acid shows up time and time again in our supplements and our skincare. Taurine shows up in our skincare too.
00:31:37:07 – 00:32:03:18 — Dr. Mike
But taurine is one of the most important and underrated cellular protectors—mitochondrial protectors—in the body. Specifically to the mitochondria, it’s improving the electron transport chain efficiency; it’s reducing mitochondrial oxidative stress; it’s stabilizing mitochondrial membranes. But what it’s doing—the take-home I really got from the textbook—because those things I just mentioned, it’s like, well, methylene blue kind of does…
00:32:03:20 – 00:32:29:22 — Dr. Mike
…Urolithin A kind of does… a lot of things help improve energy production and help reduce oxidative stress—shout-out to C60. A lot of things stabilize mitochondrial membranes. But what taurine does is it sequesters excess calcium. And excess calcium leads to excitotoxicity.
00:32:29:22 – 00:33:02:15 — Dr. Mike
All we need to know there is that it’s a toxic reaction in the body. When it happens in the nerves or more specifically in the brain, it’s called neurotoxicity. So when we have an excess of calcium released from our mitochondria and cells, that excess calcium literally is killing nerve cells. It’s like pruning of the nerves. So that begs the question: okay, what causes excess calcium release? None other than non-native EMF radiation. So it’s like the silent killer.
00:33:02:15 – 00:33:29:23 — Dr. Mike
I mean, here’s another example of that: we’re being bathed in the non-native EMFs—the Bluetooth, the Wi-Fi, all that stuff—and we can’t see it; we can’t necessarily feel it in the moment. But there’s clear-cut evidence showing that the more exposure, the more intense the exposure is, there is a correlation to excess calcium release—which again, excitotoxicity in the cells, or neurotoxicity in the nerves. Not good stuff. So taurine is amazing for sequestering and mitigating those potential issues.
00:33:30:00 – 00:33:50:14 — Don
It’s beautiful. All right—so moving beyond methylene blue again. And I keep pointing this out: there are so many other ingredients that are absolutely crucial here. The next—let me just get a couple more shout-outs to taurine while we’re here. I don’t want to go too long here, but especially since we’re going to get, potentially, into electrolytes and minerals…
00:33:50:18 – 00:34:27:21 — Don
…for hydration and cellular osmoregulation. So taurine is one of the body’s primary osmolytes—meaning it balances water inside the cells; it protects against dehydration stress; and it supports electrolyte balance. So it helps keep the cells plump, functional and resilient—especially the muscle cells and the neurons. And then in terms of longevity benefits: taurine—recent Nature studies show that taurine extends lifespan in animal models…
00:34:27:24 – 00:34:46:16 — Don
…it reduces age-related inflammation, of course; it improves mitochondrial function, like we just talked about; and enhances muscle mass and strength with age. So it’s currently being studied as a key longevity amino acid—because taurine is an amino acid; it’s a protein—especially alongside Urolithin A, glycine, and spermidine.
00:34:46:18 – 00:35:02:15 — Don
So just wanted to throw that out there as well.
00:35:02:17 – 00:35:28:01 — Don
We can—the oil-in-the-skin benefits—that depends how far we want to go with that today, Don. But before I guess, to preface potential skin benefits, because taurine does show up in the Blue Mist—which is… right, and we’ll get there too—so just a quick precursor: taurine hydrates the skin…
00:35:28:04 – 00:35:47:07 — Don
…it reduces redness and irritation, protects against oxidative stress, and supports collagen structure indirectly. So there’s a—I mean, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to taurine. But it is truly one of the mitochondria’s best friends.
00:35:47:10 – 00:35:56:09 — Don
And if you look at some of the formulations, it shows up multiple times throughout each BioLight product. And I think that’s why it’s really like the Scottie Pippen to the Michael Jordan of a lot of the products.
00:35:56:09 – 00:36:07:14 — Dr. Mike
Okay, another sports reference—I’ll keep throwing those at you all night. So—Bio Minerals next…
00:36:07:14 - 00:36:11:09
Don Bailey
Bio Minerals next.
00:36:11:09 - 00:36:18:15
Don Bailey
This is there was like, the beam released in between bio living and bio minerals and then but bio minerals was like pretty much the next product, right.
00:36:18:15 - 00:36:19:12
Don Bailey
So,
00:36:19:14 - 00:36:23:02
Don Bailey
we're looking at we started off with,
00:36:23:04 - 00:36:25:22
Don Bailey
you know, our methylene blue. And then,
00:36:25:24 - 00:36:36:08
Don Bailey
how do we avoid getting methylene blue on a tongue. We put it in capsules and, you know, avoiding the blue mal mouth and then lucho methylene blue in there as well. Violet and and then
00:36:36:08 - 00:36:37:18
Don Bailey
bio minerals. So.
00:36:37:22 - 00:36:47:16
Don Bailey
What led you to include bio minerals as a part of this stack and like and and I say this because like I take all of this stuff every day, you know, like I take,
00:36:47:16 - 00:36:53:10
Don Bailey
methylene blue bio lesson and bio minerals. So including it as a part of my daily stack,
00:36:53:12 - 00:36:57:20
Don Bailey
like what about this bio minerals?
00:36:57:22 - 00:37:01:17
Don Bailey
Made you want to include it as a part of the bio like product offering?
00:37:01:19 - 00:37:06:21
Dr. Mike Belkowski
I'll just kind of point this out, the reason why I'm doing it in this order, I'm trying to do it in order of release.
00:37:06:21 - 00:37:13:01
Dr. Mike Belkowski
So people have like an idea of like, oh, this is why they made that decision. This is why they made that decision. I really want,
00:37:13:03 - 00:37:30:00
Dr. Mike Belkowski
the products that we released and then the order that we release them to kind of make sense to, you know, the core user base who I don't think bio light would be as far as it is, without people not only coming here, joining the bio light community and listening to this podcast, but more importantly, also being,
00:37:30:00 - 00:37:31:10
Dr. Mike Belkowski
researchers researching.
00:37:31:10 - 00:37:33:20
Dr. Mike Belkowski
I love the questions that we get from people,
00:37:33:22 - 00:37:37:19
Dr. Mike Belkowski
and, you know, offering up other solutions that they've heard of. So.
00:37:37:23 - 00:37:41:24
Dr. Mike Belkowski
So I can't find the exact episode.
00:37:42:01 - 00:38:01:24
Dr. Mike Belkowski
so everyone knows that my favorite book of recent times is The Mitochondria Manifesto. It's by an author called R.D. Lee, and he actually just released an updated version of that book, like part two, if you will, where 90% of it is the same.
00:38:02:00 - 00:38:09:00
Dr. Mike Belkowski
He's updated some information, but then he's included section specifically on like photo by modulation and methylene blue and some other stuff.
00:38:09:02 - 00:38:18:08
Dr. Mike Belkowski
So of course I got that and read that. But he also has another book called Gut Brain Secrets. And while I wasn't like,
00:38:18:08 - 00:38:25:23
Dr. Mike Belkowski
gung ho going into this book, I do have an appreciation for the impact of gut on our entire health.
00:38:25:23 - 00:38:50:09
Dr. Mike Belkowski
So I was like, well, if I loved his book that much, I might as well just read this gargantuan book as well. But the take home is what I pulled from this was how certain ingredients play a profound role on the gut health, on gut health, and like the gut barrier mitigating, preventing, reversing leaky gut. And this is kind of where I get that,
00:38:50:11 - 00:39:01:06
Dr. Mike Belkowski
that statistic of like 75% of the rain that falls in the world has some, like some semblance of glyphosate in it to showcase how,
00:39:01:10 - 00:39:05:20
Dr. Mike Belkowski
ubiquitous glyphosate is in our world and life, just like non-native emfs.
00:39:05:20 - 00:39:11:10
Dr. Mike Belkowski
We can't run away from it. We can mitigate it. We can do these technologies and strategies to kind of,
00:39:11:12 - 00:39:26:16
Dr. Mike Belkowski
do as much as we can, but we can't run and hide from it. We can't run and hide from non-native MPs. We can't run and hide from glyphosate, both of which do a massive number on your gut health, on your gut lining,
00:39:26:18 - 00:39:42:17
Dr. Mike Belkowski
the punch line is things like folic acid and humic acid are paramount in reversing ozone. Inulin is a protein, so if you have increases in levels, it increases,
00:39:42:19 - 00:39:46:15
Dr. Mike Belkowski
your chances of increasing the,
00:39:46:17 - 00:39:56:18
Dr. Mike Belkowski
the gap junctions in the leaky gut, whereas they should be tighter together. So if you increase inulin, increase leaky gut, decrease inulin, decrease leaky gut.
00:39:56:22 - 00:39:58:05
Dr. Mike Belkowski
But at the end of the day,
00:39:58:08 - 00:40:07:02
Dr. Mike Belkowski
especially humic acid has been shown to essentially reverse and eradicate leaky gut.
00:40:07:04 - 00:40:15:23
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And then you stack something like a folic acid on top of that, a high quality. Well, as I have alluded to multiple times in previous episodes, thanks to,
00:40:16:00 - 00:40:27:16
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Victor Siegel of Ski, who basically just verified that we've been using this whole time the best and the only folic acid you should be using in.
00:40:27:16 - 00:40:30:19
Dr. Mike Belkowski
That would be insane. Formic acid.
00:40:30:21 - 00:40:43:23
Dr. Mike Belkowski
But phobic acid by itself improves gut health. It improves redox, it improves detox in I've seen supplements on the market where they use a singular thing kind of like botulism just in in a different supplement.
00:40:44:00 - 00:40:50:06
Dr. Mike Belkowski
There's a popular segment supplement. They use just what's called humic substances, which is like, okay, that's great.
00:40:50:06 - 00:41:12:16
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And the humic substances alone are great for gut health. So instead of using just humic substances, I took what I feel is a superior version of that, which is Sheila Jeet, because Sheila Jeet is composed of humic and folic acid and Sheila has,
00:41:12:18 - 00:41:16:17
Dr. Mike Belkowski
thousands of years. I mean, it's deeply entrenched in our Vedic,
00:41:16:22 - 00:41:21:11
Dr. Mike Belkowski
medicine. But again, it's composed largely of humic substances.
00:41:21:13 - 00:41:27:17
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Both euphoric and humic acids typically make up 60 to 80% of Sheila Jeet,
00:41:27:20 - 00:41:32:16
Dr. Mike Belkowski
by weight. And again, it's been used in our Veda for vitality and resilience.
00:41:32:18 - 00:41:40:19
Dr. Mike Belkowski
But is superior for things like mitochondrial energy and redox. And again, we could go into a whole other episode on this. Done. I'm trying to make it quick.
00:41:40:21 - 00:41:46:16
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Sheila is great for hormonal and metabolic support, gut health, nutrient absorption.
00:41:46:16 - 00:41:54:17
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Because if you have a leaky gut, you can actually absorb what you're eating. That's another issue with leaky gut. And then detox and antioxidant defense.
00:41:54:19 - 00:41:59:11
Dr. Mike Belkowski
So like folic acid, Sheila exhibits detoxifying properties,
00:41:59:13 - 00:42:13:01
Dr. Mike Belkowski
because it contains a broad spectrum of over 80 trace minerals. So instead of, again, using just a human substance, I took Sheila Jeet, which has humic in it, and then we're getting a more comprehensive,
00:42:13:03 - 00:42:15:22
Dr. Mike Belkowski
well-rounded mineral support.
00:42:15:24 - 00:42:40:10
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And then the cherry on top is. So we're using Woojin Sohn for the folic acid. We're using high, high quality Sheila Jeet. Then we used the other thing that is basically a complete mineralized or by itself. And that's Kington Water, this amazing seawater that comes from a plankton bloom. And it has literally all of the elements in the same ratios as in our blood.
00:42:40:13 - 00:42:46:11
Dr. Mike Belkowski
So like it's meant for our bodies. So it's not just a singular ingredient, like a lot of these,
00:42:46:13 - 00:42:51:15
Dr. Mike Belkowski
similar products where it's like you, you take this concentrate and then you pump it into your water to drink.
00:42:51:18 - 00:42:58:14
Dr. Mike Belkowski
It's the most comprehensive that I've seen. It's included in the full book is including the Sheila Jeet, which again is the full vector humic plus those 80.
00:42:58:16 - 00:43:05:17
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And then it's including the Quinton Hypertonic Water which has a bevy again of trace minerals and
00:43:05:17 - 00:43:09:07
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Hence bio minerals came into play there. And so the way
00:43:09:11 - 00:43:19:22
Dr. Mike Belkowski
that one would use this for people that are curious or people that have been starting to use it. So for me personally, I have this concoction of water in my water bottle perpetually.
00:43:19:22 - 00:43:23:05
Dr. Mike Belkowski
This is like my secret water.
00:43:23:07 - 00:43:41:18
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Recipe I take or I fill this bottle. It's about 32oz or so. I take 50% fill it with natural spring water. I take the bio minerals. I put eight pumps in, and then I fill the rest of the water bottle with light water. So again, I'm cutting that light water in half like I talked about in
00:43:41:18 - 00:43:43:12
Dr. Mike Belkowski
the most recent episode.
00:43:43:14 - 00:43:49:12
Dr. Mike Belkowski
So it's a very deuterium depleted water, and it's a very mineral rich water.
00:43:49:14 - 00:43:50:22
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Again, I think it's like
00:43:51:01 - 00:43:53:19
Dr. Mike Belkowski
one of the easiest and one of the most,
00:43:53:21 - 00:44:02:18
Dr. Mike Belkowski
comprehensive ways to re mineralized your bottle body on a consistent basis. And so whatever water I'm drinking, it has that solution in it.
00:44:02:21 - 00:44:07:03
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And it's beautiful. So now I can even take my bio him with this water, you know.
00:44:07:06 - 00:44:26:01
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And so that's kind of what led to like moving beyond methylene blue again into bio within and now into bio minerals. I want to hone in on one thing, because this is around the same time that we started introducing light water in our products. Right. So,
00:44:26:01 - 00:44:30:19
Don Bailey
even though you use it in your concoction and it's not necessarily in bio minerals,
00:44:30:21 - 00:44:36:15
Don Bailey
let's focus on light water because one that episode was amazing, but two, why light water?
00:44:36:19 - 00:44:38:22
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Well, I mean, there's only so many.
00:44:39:01 - 00:44:46:09
Dr. Mike Belkowski
There's only so many facilities in the world that produce deuterium depleted water. I think there's five in total. So,
00:44:46:11 - 00:45:06:02
Dr. Mike Belkowski
I just had a previous I mean, years and years ago, but some relationship with with Victor Segue, Alaska, we met in Miami at a biohacking conference. That's where I first met him and my mom and I after that conference, learning about light water, learning about the benefits of deuterium depletion.
00:45:06:04 - 00:45:09:15
Dr. Mike Belkowski
We were on light water for the better part of a year, I think,
00:45:09:15 - 00:45:19:03
Dr. Mike Belkowski
something to that effect. My mom probably a little longer. And just like anything, you take stuff for a while and then you kind of forget why you're taken or like, you forget about the benefits. Or,
00:45:19:05 - 00:45:20:13
Dr. Mike Belkowski
maybe you had this initial,
00:45:20:16 - 00:45:24:07
Dr. Mike Belkowski
this initial catalyst of, like, energy or this catalyst of, like, improved,
00:45:24:09 - 00:45:25:13
Dr. Mike Belkowski
benefits.
00:45:25:15 - 00:45:41:05
Dr. Mike Belkowski
But then you forget about those improvements or you kind of feel like you plateau, but you forget where you came from. You forget, like, how low, right? Yeah. So it's easy to, like, throw things aside once you kind of get to a good level. So again, we we kind of stopped using light water for a while. But
00:45:41:07 - 00:45:42:17
Dr. Mike Belkowski
this book from,
00:45:42:17 - 00:45:54:09
Dr. Mike Belkowski
our daily gut brain secrets. This was I think I read this in May or June, and then right after or right before. Give me a moment here. I'm looking on my bookshelf.
00:45:54:11 - 00:45:58:05
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Because I mentioned it last week or the last episode.
00:45:58:08 - 00:45:59:00
Dr. Mike Belkowski
It's the one with,
00:45:59:00 - 00:46:00:03
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Gabor.
00:46:00:03 - 00:46:06:15
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Somalia, I believe it's how you say his name, but the book is basically called deuterium depletion. And again, it's like
00:46:06:19 - 00:46:14:03
Dr. Mike Belkowski
I wasn't super excited. I was not excited to read the book, but I wasn't like, I was like, oh, I'm excited to like, pick up this book and read it.
00:46:14:07 - 00:46:19:04
Dr. Mike Belkowski
I just read it because it's like there's not that many books on deuterium depleted water.
00:46:19:06 - 00:46:43:02
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And it's like, okay, I need to refresh my memory. Like, why is light water? Why is deuterium depletion like so important? So again, it was another one of those books where it's like, gosh, I'm glad I read that because it really drilled down how important or how impactful lowering your deuterium level in your body can be. Again, this book was centered around its anti-cancer properties.
00:46:43:02 - 00:47:01:08
Dr. Mike Belkowski
But what are what are the implications for just regular wellness or longevity in your health span? It's it's profound. And so that reignited my my memory and my passion and my excitement for deuterium depleted water. Because while you can do the ketogenic diet or you can,
00:47:01:10 - 00:47:09:02
Dr. Mike Belkowski
do certain health and exercise techniques to more or less help reduce deuterium, that's a much longer and arduous process.
00:47:09:02 - 00:47:20:24
Dr. Mike Belkowski
So drinking deuterium depleted water is by far the quickest way to lower deuterium water systemically. So again, after reading that book, I was like, oh gosh, I need to get back on deuterium. Depleted water, went back to light water,
00:47:21:01 - 00:47:28:13
Dr. Mike Belkowski
started drinking again myself, and then got in contact again with Victor Seigel, who, as you very well know, Don.
00:47:28:17 - 00:47:32:24
Dr. Mike Belkowski
We then light water and Violet collapsed, and now we have a,
00:47:32:24 - 00:47:34:23
Dr. Mike Belkowski
company partnership together
00:47:35:00 - 00:47:40:23
Dr. Mike Belkowski
the underlying motive is adding that light water to our products where it makes sense to, again,
00:47:41:00 - 00:47:56:15
Dr. Mike Belkowski
to have this synergistic or this amplifying effect of what we're already creating with our mitochondrial products. If they have water, whether it's ingesting or water, whether it's for your skin, why not use the best water in the world?
00:47:56:17 - 00:48:04:24
Don Bailey
Right. Well, I wanted to sign up with light water, and I just want to kind of point this out. Like so. Basically, water with deuterium in it is
00:48:05:02 - 00:48:24:21
Don Bailey
heavy. Correct. Deuterium depleted water makes the water lighter. When your body takes in the heavy water, it essentially moves slower and it takes in the lighter water. It moves faster. It's like a very simple, but probably like it's the easy way for me to understand it.
00:48:24:21 - 00:48:45:13
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Right. That's very succinct and very like well-articulated. Yeah. And Victor even said in my, in my episode, like he literally his body, he just feels lighter. His body. Right. And or like his body, his energy, his mood, he just feels lighter. And so and then one more thing here, it's like,
00:48:45:15 - 00:48:52:08
Don Bailey
you know, when I came up to your place, it's like, you're like, you don't have to just drink all deuterium to play the water.
00:48:52:08 - 00:49:03:09
Don Bailey
You put some in my water. And so why was that, like effective? Why can you just add some deuterium depleted water to water and make it better?
00:49:03:13 - 00:49:20:00
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Well, whether it is coming straight from your tap or your fridge, or even if you're drinking in reverse osmosis water or you're drinking natural spring water, the typical PPM of those is like 145 to 155.
00:49:20:02 - 00:49:30:14
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And the goal is to get your body's deuterium level under 120. So in that book, for anti-cancer properties, they're using,
00:49:30:16 - 00:49:47:24
Dr. Mike Belkowski
water that was around one like 1:10 p.m.. And they were getting those anti-cancer effects. People in stage where cancer reversing and stay in reverse as long as they were taking a drink in the water. And for more aggressive approaches, they were using 80 5 p.m. deuterium depleted water.
00:49:48:01 - 00:49:54:13
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Light water produces 10 p.m.. And Victor even said with my,
00:49:54:15 - 00:50:03:24
Dr. Mike Belkowski
podcast conversation with him that it would be excessive to drink the light water straight like you could, but it's excessive. And like there's there's a lot of diminishing,
00:50:04:01 - 00:50:18:00
Dr. Mike Belkowski
benefits because, again, that line in the sand for anti-cancer anti disease is 120. So like once you get below 20 it's like it's nice like if you can get your body to like 100 great.
00:50:18:06 - 00:50:39:21
Dr. Mike Belkowski
If you get it under 100 that's like again Victor said that's almost kind of excessive in terms of health and wellness. So the reason you would cut it is because deuterium depleted water is not cheap. So make your ladder or make your water last as long as possible. So you would take that's why I do a 5050 with my,
00:50:39:23 - 00:50:40:12
Dr. Mike Belkowski
with my water.
00:50:40:13 - 00:50:59:20
Dr. Mike Belkowski
They drink all the time. Here's by cut it. Cutting it in half. Even with beautiful, nice natural spring water. We'll see. That's about 150. So 150 plus 10 p.m. is 160 divided by two is 80. So essentially the water I'm drinking is 80 ppm deuterium, which is again well below that goal of 120,
00:50:59:22 - 00:51:01:07
Dr. Mike Belkowski
ppm for my body.
00:51:01:09 - 00:51:05:17
Dr. Mike Belkowski
So by drinking that in concert with bio minerals,
00:51:05:19 - 00:51:16:10
Dr. Mike Belkowski
the only other thing I could do and I should do is vortex it, and then it would be structured water as well. Nice. Well, I got an idea for that.
00:51:16:12 - 00:51:21:21
Don Bailey
But all right. So and then just a quick question. Now that I have,
00:51:21:23 - 00:51:25:14
Don Bailey
you know, my pipette of bio blue, I can drop that into my water.
00:51:25:14 - 00:51:43:20
Don Bailey
And essentially I'm reducing the deuterium levels in the water that I'm drinking that I just introduced methylene blue to. Correct. And so, for example, like when I'm drinking or when I'm taking the liquid bio blue, I'm putting it into like 3 to 4oz of water. So if you're doing like a couple pipettes of bio blue,
00:51:43:22 - 00:51:45:17
Dr. Mike Belkowski
I mean, you're cutting it a little bit, right?
00:51:45:22 - 00:51:55:01
Dr. Mike Belkowski
At the very least some people. Yeah, exactly. Straight into their mouth. So then you're getting just the full the full monty effect of, of the deuterium depleted or the light water.
00:51:55:03 - 00:52:05:02
Dr. Mike Belkowski
But yeah, I mean, I think the goal for people, if they're really interested in that strategy, deuterium depleted water is investing in the water itself, right.
00:52:05:06 - 00:52:17:20
Dr. Mike Belkowski
But again, our whole the ethos of bio light is to enhance mitochondrial function, that energy cause and like any step of the process possible.
00:52:17:22 - 00:52:27:11
Dr. Mike Belkowski
So we already had a beautiful product and we just enhanced it a with a light water. But then B with a couple of other ingredients as well, which we discussed in previous episodes. Right. And
00:52:27:11 - 00:52:35:10
Dr. Mike Belkowski
I'll skip over the new ingredients for the sake of time in this episode, but feel free to bring me back at any time, Mike, and I'll jump into those ingredients too.
00:52:35:12 - 00:52:40:11
Don Bailey
Well, what I want you to hear again. Taurine was never in bio blue liquids. Now it's in there.
00:52:40:13 - 00:52:59:20
Don Bailey
And N was intentionally at a lower level, but we ten axed it. So now it's at a concentration where it should, if you take it consistently will raise our energy levels nad associated with energy. So we in we're we're literally using the best water in the world.
00:52:59:22 - 00:53:23:05
Don Bailey
We added taurine which we just talked about about 10 or 15 minutes ago, and kind of sing the praises of that. And now we ten at the level of m n, which is an NAD precursor. So now you're not only getting energizing benefits from the methylene blue, now you're getting a legitimate effect from the inner man. Right. And then around that same time when we added those ingredients, it's where we're going to next.
00:53:23:05 - 00:53:33:01
Don Bailey
We introduce the bio blue light in the bio blue logo light. And that's literally like the ingredients. Or what was the reason for doing that.
00:53:33:05 - 00:53:55:00
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And then go ahead and throw violet and light in there. Because all of the light products kind of came out around this time. So the intention was to have products that were more price friendly. That was a large motivation behind those, because with all those additions we made to the bio blues, they've all had a slight step up in their price.
00:53:55:02 - 00:54:18:22
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And even without that being said, I wanted to be able to offer a lower priced methylene blue in a lower priced Euro listen, a option for those that are like they just want the benefits of that hero ingredient. They don't necessarily need all the extra additives, they just Michael Jordan without Scottie Pippen. They just want the Michael Jordan, no Scottie Pippen.
00:54:18:24 - 00:54:20:01
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And sometimes there's
00:54:20:01 - 00:54:25:09
Dr. Mike Belkowski
there's there's a need for that. Or again, if people are price conscious, then why not?
00:54:25:11 - 00:54:36:01
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And it's ironic that it's called light because we're introducing light water. So it's kind of tongue in cheek. And that was never the intention. That's just kind of,
00:54:36:07 - 00:54:40:13
Dr. Mike Belkowski
that's purely a coincidence. It's a light because it's just methylene blue in water.
00:54:40:13 - 00:54:59:12
Dr. Mike Belkowski
It's none of the other ingredients and light water, methylene blue. Why? I know, but I'm saying like it's a light because it's sans all those other ingredients. It's not light because of light. Water. That's just a happy coincidence. But anyway, so yeah, those light versions came out. Bio blue light, bio blue. Lucho light.
00:54:59:12 - 00:55:02:07
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Introducing the beautiful harmony of the USP grade.
00:55:02:07 - 00:55:19:09
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Methylene blue, Lucho. Methylene blue and light water. And then, along the same line of thought, the bio. Listen, light is your litany. Plus taurine sans your list. And b so for people that really just want to,
00:55:19:11 - 00:55:28:16
Dr. Mike Belkowski
harbor the benefits of my autophagy in that, that mitochondrial recycling don't necessarily care or want or are as,
00:55:28:16 - 00:55:36:21
Dr. Mike Belkowski
concerned about the benefits derived from your lithium B and again, to be more price conscious, there's that bio within light option.
00:55:37:00 - 00:55:49:11
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Same same amount of your in a in both issues without the usual within B and again same or actually there's an increase in taurine in the bio with and light to replace the lack of
00:55:49:13 - 00:55:50:18
Dr. Mike Belkowski
the your health and b.
00:55:50:21 - 00:55:52:11
Don Bailey
Now we're getting into the fun stuff.
00:55:52:15 - 00:55:55:12
Don Bailey
everyone saw we went from methylene blue
00:55:55:17 - 00:55:56:22
Don Bailey
violet and
00:55:56:24 - 00:55:58:01
Don Bailey
bio minerals.
00:55:58:03 - 00:55:58:20
Don Bailey
Now
00:55:58:24 - 00:56:07:20
Don Bailey
from Bio Minerals, the next two products were for your skin. It was the bio minerals mist and a bio minerals platinum mist.
00:56:07:23 - 00:56:16:11
Don Bailey
what thought process led us to focus more on the cosmetic approach, while we're also focusing on like what's happening inside your body?
00:56:16:15 - 00:56:41:17
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Well, who doesn't want to look and feel good? And skin has mitochondria in it too. And so why not put this beautiful bio minerals concentrate that we're using as a supplement form and make it available for a skin friendly formula to enhance the hydration, to enhance the,
00:56:41:21 - 00:56:43:16
Dr. Mike Belkowski
osmotic balance. And
00:56:43:19 - 00:56:45:11
Dr. Mike Belkowski
that specifically talking about the,
00:56:45:11 - 00:56:47:22
Dr. Mike Belkowski
the folic acid, the and same with the Sheila.
00:56:48:00 - 00:56:51:07
Dr. Mike Belkowski
It's their anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial,
00:56:51:09 - 00:56:52:24
Dr. Mike Belkowski
pro hydration.
00:56:53:01 - 00:56:54:18
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And so the thought was.
00:56:54:22 - 00:57:07:05
Dr. Mike Belkowski
These minerals so bio minerals, all of these ingredients are derived from the earth like they're 100% natural as a supplement. They're 100% natural.
00:57:07:07 - 00:57:21:08
Dr. Mike Belkowski
As a, as a skin part of your skincare regimen. And so it's to help replenish, excuse me, replenish trace minerals through the skin support, hydration and surface conductivity.
00:57:21:10 - 00:57:25:17
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Refresh the skin before and after red light.
00:57:25:20 - 00:57:28:18
Dr. Mike Belkowski
More so with the blue mist, which we can get to here in a moment.
00:57:28:20 - 00:57:46:19
Dr. Mike Belkowski
But you can. The mist, specifically the bio minerals mist and the platinum mist use these to prime the serums so that those are better taken in by your skin. So it's like it's almost a foundation for other skincare products. You may be,
00:57:46:21 - 00:57:49:23
Dr. Mike Belkowski
that may be part of your anti-aging skin regimen.
00:57:50:01 - 00:57:51:13
Don Bailey
Absolutely. Well, so,
00:57:51:15 - 00:57:52:03
Don Bailey
and I
00:57:52:06 - 00:58:01:00
Don Bailey
want to point it out as well, that you said there's also mitochondria in the skin. And so at the core of bio light is
00:58:01:03 - 00:58:08:11
Don Bailey
doing what's best for the mitochondria. And I think it often gets, ignored. There aren't a lot of,
00:58:08:13 - 00:58:18:24
Don Bailey
products that I know of given I'm not an expert in the cosmetics industry, but there aren't a lot of products coming from our
00:58:19:02 - 00:58:25:00
Don Bailey
mitochondria centric approach to skincare.
00:58:25:02 - 00:58:26:01
Don Bailey
And I'm sure there's a lot.
00:58:26:05 - 00:58:32:02
Don Bailey
I just haven't found them. So with bio minerals, I personally was really excited for it because one,
00:58:32:05 - 00:58:35:09
Don Bailey
dry skin can occur at any point throughout the day.
00:58:35:11 - 00:58:42:05
Don Bailey
Especially after, you know, you're working out and you're sweating, but you have to run from here to the bank and run some errands and then run home.
00:58:42:07 - 00:58:45:19
Don Bailey
Like just a quick refresher with the mitochondria or with the,
00:58:45:19 - 00:58:47:00
Don Bailey
bio minerals,
00:58:47:02 - 00:58:47:17
Don Bailey
and then
00:58:47:21 - 00:59:04:14
Don Bailey
Segway. So and now I'll bring up the last thing next, or I'll save my own micro for last. I kind of want to leap jump that to the blue mist and the mystic nano. Mr.. Right. So as a part of my skincare routine,
00:59:04:16 - 00:59:11:15
Don Bailey
and again, it's the largest organ of my body still has mitochondria on it, and we're kind of approaching it from a topical,
00:59:11:17 - 00:59:15:23
Don Bailey
approach or making it having a topical approach to the skincare as opposed to,
00:59:16:00 - 00:59:18:05
Don Bailey
from internal ingestion.
00:59:18:05 - 00:59:19:13
Don Bailey
Right. So
00:59:19:17 - 00:59:28:10
Don Bailey
what was important about bio minerals mist, and why does it fit in with the rest of the products that we've released,
00:59:28:14 - 00:59:33:22
Don Bailey
the Bio Minerals mist specifically? No, I'm sorry, blue mist, blue mist, blue mist, blue mist.
00:59:34:01 - 00:59:35:20
Dr. Mike Belkowski
I was like, we're going to rehash that conversation,
00:59:35:21 - 00:59:40:22
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Well, so this has been a project that's been on my plate.
00:59:41:03 - 01:00:00:20
Dr. Mike Belkowski
It's been a passion project for quite some time. And just like anything we do on sourcing, sourcing, source sourcing, that is the key to any product. I don't care if it's a device, but most importantly, if it's something you're putting inside or on the outside of your body.
01:00:00:20 - 01:00:14:19
Dr. Mike Belkowski
So whether it's a supplement or skincare product, that's what I hang my hat on and I'm most proud of, is that we truly, if you see the ingredient on the label, you know it's coming from a high, high quality source.
01:00:14:21 - 01:00:25:23
Dr. Mike Belkowski
We're not we're not here to to provide lip service. And then like, use bottom shelf ingredients and then serve it to you guys as a high, high end product.
01:00:26:00 - 01:00:39:18
Dr. Mike Belkowski
When we put a product out there, it's been diligently researched and diligently sourced from an ingredient perspective. Yeah, this one took a time, take a long time to get out because of the sourcing process. Yeah, there was
01:00:39:20 - 01:00:51:10
Dr. Mike Belkowski
it's one, one ingredient, but that we include two different types of them. It's hyaluronic acid. There's two different types, one that works on a superficial level of your skin, and then another form of hyaluronic acid that works on the deeper,
01:00:51:12 - 01:00:53:19
Dr. Mike Belkowski
portion of your skin tissue.
01:00:53:21 - 01:01:00:24
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Those took me a long time to source, but it's like I did not want to put out this product with a sub,
01:01:01:03 - 01:01:06:23
Dr. Mike Belkowski
premium quality hyaluronic acid until I found it and could source it.
01:01:07:00 - 01:01:08:12
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Specifically, if I can.
01:01:08:16 - 01:01:09:20
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Read the label here.
01:01:09:23 - 01:01:24:08
Dr. Mike Belkowski
The hyaluronic acids are called high active and oligo high affaires. So if you see that on the label or like on the product page, those are the two forms of hyaluronic acid.
01:01:24:10 - 01:01:34:08
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Again, ones for superficial skin tissue, ones for deeper skin tissue. But regardless. So we're just blue mist fit in. I'm going to take it to the dashboard here, Don, just so people can get a feel for the skin.
01:01:34:12 - 01:01:35:17
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Dashboard or,
01:01:35:20 - 01:02:01:05
Dr. Mike Belkowski
barometer. So we replace those six attributes from supplements, and now we're using for the skin hydration, pigmentation, firmness, wrinkles, dullness and resilience. And maybe we should do a compare and contrast here. If you'll give me just a second. So for the bio minerals mist it gets a 90% for hydration.
01:02:01:08 - 01:02:02:19
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Blue mist gets 95.
01:02:02:23 - 01:02:16:19
Dr. Mike Belkowski
The Bio Minerals mist gets a 55% for pigmentation. Blue mist gets 75 bio minerals. Miss mist gets a 70% for firmness. Blue mist gets 80%.
01:02:16:23 - 01:02:26:02
Dr. Mike Belkowski
The bio minerals mist gets a 65% for wrinkles. Anti-Wrinkle purposes. The blue mist gets a 90%,
01:02:26:06 - 01:02:37:02
Dr. Mike Belkowski
the bio minerals mist gets a an 85% for dullness. Which dullness means the ability to restore radiance by improving skin renewal, brightness, overall luminosity.
01:02:37:03 - 01:02:51:12
Dr. Mike Belkowski
So 85 for bio minerals mist 90% for dullness on blue mist. And then lastly the bio minerals mist gets 95% for resilience, the ability to strengthen the skin's ability,
01:02:51:14 - 01:02:54:09
Dr. Mike Belkowski
to withstand stressors. So 95 for
01:02:54:15 - 01:03:04:09
Dr. Mike Belkowski
bio minerals and 95 for blue mist. So you can see through each one. Bio minerals mist is great. Blue mist is simply amazing.
01:03:04:09 - 01:03:11:16
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And that's because of this recipe of ingredients that we have, and not just a recipe like how it's applied, like
01:03:11:18 - 01:03:18:17
Dr. Mike Belkowski
I'll just I'll just run through the ingredients. I yeah, I won't go into long diatribes here. So the blue mist
01:03:18:21 - 01:03:22:11
Dr. Mike Belkowski
is mixed 100% crafted in light water.
01:03:22:13 - 01:03:45:24
Dr. Mike Belkowski
So you're using deuterium depleted water on your skin, whereas with the bio minerals mist, that's spring water which is full of minerals, living up to the name. And then we take a small fraction of the bio minerals, concentrate that is also in the blue mist. So you're actually getting like a fraction relative to the whole recipe. In blue mist you're getting bio minerals as well.
01:03:46:01 - 01:03:49:21
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Of course you're getting USP grade methylene blue,
01:03:49:23 - 01:03:56:22
Dr. Mike Belkowski
which is a very low concentration compared to the supplement you're taking. So if you were to compare like vials or,
01:03:56:22 - 01:04:13:19
Dr. Mike Belkowski
the pipettes next to each other full of bio blue supplement or blue mist, the blue mist is a very, very faint blue. And it's transparent. So it's not something where you're putting it on your skin and you're going to be able to see blue, but you're getting the anti-aging benefits of of methylene blue.
01:04:13:21 - 01:04:23:00
Dr. Mike Belkowski
There's organic glycerin derived from coconuts, there's aloe vera, there is silicon dioxide.
01:04:23:02 - 01:04:25:04
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And then there is.
01:04:25:08 - 01:04:30:24
Dr. Mike Belkowski
The two forms of hyaluronic acid that I talked about before,
01:04:31:01 - 01:04:41:14
Dr. Mike Belkowski
there's niacinamide, which is vitamin B3. There's glutathione, reduced glutathione, there's taurine. There it is again, showing up,
01:04:41:16 - 01:04:47:20
Dr. Mike Belkowski
for the skin, there's EGCg, which is a green tea extract and,
01:04:47:20 - 01:04:50:06
Dr. Mike Belkowski
folic acid from Woojin sun.
01:04:50:10 - 01:04:56:02
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And that makes up the there is a carnitine because that's also in there as well.
01:04:56:04 - 01:04:57:19
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And I did a previous episode
01:04:57:19 - 01:05:02:07
Dr. Mike Belkowski
specifically on this on Blue Mist. But those are the ingredients in it.
01:05:02:10 - 01:05:23:03
Don Bailey
Beautiful one. Each one we could spend like 10 or 15 minutes on, like we already talked about taurine. We could sing, sing the praises of the reduced worth iron. We could easily sing the praises of Isin like that is one of Doctor Sandra Kaufman's favorite anti-aging compounds in general. And I forgot to mention, there's an acetyl cysteine, which is a precursor to glutathione on.
01:05:23:05 - 01:05:35:07
Don Bailey
So I mean, there's a lot of amazing anti-aging skin compounds in this blue mist, but I think you want to get to the very exciting part of the story. The Mister.
01:05:35:10 - 01:05:37:03
Don Bailey
Is so cool. I remember,
01:05:37:03 - 01:05:42:22
Don Bailey
I was walking through the airport one time, and I was, you know, you could just feel your face getting dry.
01:05:42:24 - 01:05:49:10
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Right, let’s pivot to the all-natural track. We’ll give mushrooms their own deep-dive episode, but set the stage for BioMico now.
01:05:49:12 - 01:06:16:03
Don Bailey
Totally. A lot of our community wants “from-nature-only” options. No synthetics, no peptides. That convo with Landon really crystallized it. So we mapped a second lane: the same mitochondrial-centric ethos, but fully natural.
01:06:16:05 - 01:06:38:01
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Exactly. Methyelene blue is amazing, but it isn’t from a plant or a mushroom. Some folks want nature-derived inputs only. So we’re standing up two offerings in parallel: the MB line and a 100% natural line, starting with BioMico.
01:06:38:03 - 01:07:06:07
Don Bailey
And timing matters. We’re in winter. Immunity’s top of mind, which is why the first BioMico is the Immune Complex—organic mushrooms only, nothing else, formulated to fit right into a mitochondrial-forward stack.
01:07:06:10 - 01:07:27:23
Dr. Mike Belkowski
From here, we’ll add more natural SKUs: an MB alternative for light synergy, plus additional mushroom blends. Point is, we’ll serve both camps without compromising sourcing or quality.
01:07:28:00 - 01:07:49:10
Don Bailey
Quick recap so far: we began with red light therapy, added synergists like MB and BioCream, expanded into urolithins (BioWithin), then minerals and deuterium-depleted water integrations, skin mists and Blue Mist—now the natural line with BioMico.
01:07:49:12 - 01:08:05:14
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And the theme across all of it is longevity via mitochondria—inside and out. Protocols you can actually live with: simple stacks, clean sourcing, real effects.
01:08:05:17 - 01:08:32:14
Don Bailey
Also—keep the ideas coming. Firefighter sachet request, athlete-friendly formats… the community’s feedback is shaping what we build next. Email or DM us; we actually read and ship on those notes.
01:08:32:16 - 01:08:56:07
Dr. Mike Belkowski
For sure. Research evolves; so do we. I’m ridiculously excited about a 2026 direction we’ll unveil soon. We’ll save that for its own episode, but it dovetails perfectly with everything we’ve discussed.
01:08:56:09 - 01:09:16:17
Don Bailey
And thanks to the BioLight community. Your reviews, questions, and edge-case use-cases help us refine the products and the education. Couldn’t do this without you.
01:09:16:19 - 01:09:49:10
Dr. Mike Belkowski
And thanks to Don—brand, site, launches, events. If you’ve noticed the new look and feel, that’s him. Big team effort, but he’s been the quarterback on the digital side.
01:09:49:12 - 01:10:05:14
Don Bailey
Appreciate it, man. Fun times ahead.
01:10:05:17 - 01:10:35:16
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Let’s land the plane. Today was a refresh: why we shipped what we shipped, how it fits into mitochondrial health, and where we’re going. Breathe with us—five seconds in… and out.
01:10:35:18 - 01:10:59:04
Don Bailey
If you’ve got ideas to improve the podcast or products, reach out. We’re responsive and we’ll keep iterating with you.
01:10:59:06 - 01:11:18:13
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Next episode topic is open, but mushrooms are calling. Either way, we’ll bring something spicy.
01:11:18:15 - 01:12:10:13
Don Bailey
And it’ll be 2026 before we blink, so thank you again for being here, learning, experimenting, and sharing wins with us.
01:12:10:15 - 01:13:02:21
Dr. Mike Belkowski
Alright—closing it out. For Don Bailey, I’m Dr. Mike Belkowski. Thanks for listening to The Energy Code and for letting BioLight be part of your health journey.
01:13:03:00 - 01:15:53:11
Both
Have a wonderful week. We’ll see you on the next episode.
